Gemma Casserly

Gemma Casserly is a Brighton based fine artist.
Gemma makes oil paintings and mixed media works on paper that evoke memory, nostalgia and a sense of place.
Through domestic objects that hold personal stories and associations, she uses colour to capture the atmosphere of childhood memories. Alongside these intimate works she paints familiar scenes of skies, murmurations and local landmarks, reflecting on the connections between memory and place.
