Brighton Art Space CIC is Brighton’s newest art community. Occupying a historic building in the heart of the North Laines, it has studio spaces for 14 artists, a street level gallery, workshop, and event space. A working artistic hub, BAS provides the space and means for artists to grow and thrive.

Passionate and talented, every BAS artist is a valued member. Community is at the heart of everything here. From graduate students to internationally renowned artists, this is a space that encourages, supports, and champions its members and friends.

We are proud to be a CIC, which means that we are a non-profit, community-interest company that has real-world, applicable, actionable values and ethics. BAS is coming onto the scene with a fresh perspective, that’s also quite simple – support our members however possible and exhibit a wide range of art in different mediums, from a diversity of artists, with different points of view.
