Collection: Emily Brady
Emily Brady is a self-taught visual artist from Bristol, based in Amsterdam for the last 10 years. She creates freehand pencil drawings, with close attention to detail that captures atmosphere and emotion. Through her paint work, Emily zooms out from such detailed execution to focus on playful, simple colour balance, whilst retaining strong light and dark values.
Emily observes the world through a sensitive lens, which presents itself in the precision of her execution and her ability to find beauty in simplicity. This results in recurrent themes of introspection, intimacy and identity. Her intention is to encourage viewers to see their own world sensitively and thus develop a stronger sense of calmness, gratitude and curiosity.
